宿州美术文脉悠远，名家辈出。历史上“竹林七贤”中的嵇康、刘伶;“埇上四子”周廷栋、贾善价、任柔节、牛北瞻;当代王子云、刘开渠、朱德群、梅雪峰、萧龙士、梅纯一、李百忍等大师大家，以其各自高妙的艺术风范，成就了宿州美术恒久的辉煌。
这样一座美术重镇，呼唤拥有自己的美术馆。

Suzhou Art Museum
Suzhou has a long lineage of fine arts and is famous for many artists it produced in history, including Ji Kang and Liu Ling, twoof the "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove" in the Three Kingdoms period, and Zhou Tingdong, Jia Shanjia, Ren Roujie, and Niu Beizhan known as the "Four Calligraphers of Yongshang" living in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The above-mentionedhistorical notables and the contemporary big names in fine arts, including Wang Ziyun, Liu Kaiqu, Zhu Dequn, Mei Xuefeng, Xiao Longshi, Mei Chunyi and Li Bairen, enable the ever-lasting glory of the fine arts in Suzhou with their excellent artistic contributions.
As an important town of fine arts, it was eager to have its own art museum over the past years.
2022年9月，宿州美术馆建成开放，成为我省第一家成建制市级美术馆。它设计别致，占尽风华，既是对老一辈艺术家的礼赞和致敬，更是对中国书画之乡、中国书法之乡、中国民间艺术(钟馗画)之乡的充分呼应。宿州市10万书画大军有了自己的艺术殿堂。

In September 2022, Suzhou Art Museum, unique in design and elegant in appearance, came into being as the first official city art museum in Anhui. It is not only a tribute and respect to the older generation of artists, but also a concrete embodiment of the honors to the city, such as a land of Chinese paintings, a land of calligraphy, and a land of folk art (particularly for portraits of Zhong Kui, a legendary figure who eats devils). In addition, over 100,000 calligraphers and painters in Suzhou have at last a gathering venue.
汴河涓涓流淌。美术馆坐落于新汴河水利风景区文化带北侧，馆名由中国书法家协会名誉主席沈鹏题写。建筑面积2万多平方米的美术馆，设置6个专业展厅、学术报告厅、书画培训厅、书吧咖啡厅等。建筑本着“天人合一、天圆地方”的哲学理念，融入园林水系，书卷折页元素，傍水而建。采用群组分散形态，自然通透式布局，由5幢2层白色建筑围绕着圆形中空舒展开来，天光云影，徘徊其间。

The art museum stands to the north of the cultural belt of the New Bianhe River Water Conservancy Scenic Area where theriver trickles slowly. The name plate of the museum was inscribed by Shen Peng, honorary chairman of the ChineseCalligraphers Association. Covering a total floor area of 20,000 square meters, the museum is divided into several parts, including a professionalexhibition hall, an academic lecture hall and a training hall, as well as a coffee bar for readers. Built by a water area, the museum complex is in a water garden setting, with roofs look like open books covering the buildings. The museum is in a decentralized layout and every part of it is easily accessible to natural views. The five two-story white buildings stretch out from a central circular open space, where people can relax and enjoy white clouds in the sky.

生活需要艺术，艺术美化生活。来此欣赏艺术，只见馆前广场，薄水如镜，轻盈平和。瞬间让人过滤繁杂的心绪，也为厚重的皖北平添了几分秀润。
文化新地标，艺术新领地。宿州美术馆开馆之际，回望汉画、百岁画翁、二梅风骨、草书大师、王子云艺术生平和全省政协系统、全市书画名家、安徽刻字艺术展竞相绽放。在这里美术与书法、学术与典藏、传统与现代、科技与艺术交相辉映，深度融合，流连其中，犹如置身于美的国度，展开寻美的情愫，感知心灵的慰藉。

Suzhou Art Museum is a cultural landmark as well as a venue for displaying fine art works. Following its opening ceremony, the museum hosted quite a few exhibitions, including those of the paintings from the Han Dynasty, the paintings by Mei Xuefengand Mei Chunyi (contemporary painters from one family), the cursive script works by master calligraphers, the works by famous calligraphers and painters from the CPPCC committees at different levels in Anhui, the works by famous calligraphers andpainters from Suzhou, and the provincial art of lettering, as well as an exhibition of Wang Ziyun's Life of Art. It is here that fineart and calligraphy, academic activities and appreciation of the collected works, tradition and modernity, science, technology and art intermingle and integrate with each other. In the museum is like in a gorgeous palace of art where you can discover the beauty of the artworks and appreciate the comfort of the artworks to the soul.
With the changes of the time, everything changes, and even the sea might become fertile land, but only art remains eternal. Suzhou is the gateway to northern Anhui, and Suzhou Art Museum is an artistic pearl embedded in the land of northern Anhui. With its inclusiveness, openness, confidence and the sincerity to learn from others, the museum is advancing with art to the future.
